From my pastor’s homily this weekend:
“Either a Christian heightens the quality of human life, making it more palatable, more delightfully nourishing, or else he or she has no reason for being.” – Erasmo Leiva-Merikakis, Fire of Mercy, Heart of the Word
On Sunday my pastor, Fr John Riccardo, gave a homily that I believe was truly anointed. He talked about the Council of the Saints; or, the public witness that you and I as Christians are supposed to be giving in regards to life in Christ.
Is how we portray Christian life attractive? Are you and I attracting people toward Jesus? Or are we pushing them away?
The 15-minute homily, given by my pastor Fr John Riccardo at the 12pm Mass last Sunday, stands on its own. I cannot encourage all enough to listen and share it with brothers and sisters you believe will benefit from it.
