Twenty children, between the ages of 5 and 10, and seven adults are dead today because of a shooting in an elementary school in Connecticut.
Every heart in this nation is burdened with this news. We are all sad, we are all shaking our heads in disbelief, we are all longing for the end of the school and work day so our families will be reunited.
My heart aches for the families who will not reunite tonight. I cry and cry out for the parents who will not be able to hold their living child again, be that child a kindergartener or an adult.
At this time, when we wonder why God has allowed this horrible thing to happen, I can offer no answers only the suggestion that we look at Mary, who also held her dead son”s body. I know that at a time like this it is so easy to choose despair, but I implore us all to choose casino online hope. Choose hope.
To the loved ones of those 27 people, I grieve with you. I am so sorry for your loss and I am so sorry for the pain and sorrow that you will have to carry. Please be assured of my prayers and the prayers of all the columnists at Ignitum Today. We offer you our deepest, most heartfelt condolences.
“Jesus still rose, so we will trust.”
Mother of Sorrows, pray for us.
Holy Innocents, pray for us.
Eternal Father, I offer you the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ , in atonement for sins and those of the whole world.
