IT at The Fest

Ignitum Today (IT) blogger to speak at The Fest. Over 38,000 people are expected to attend the Diocese of Cleveland’s Family Festival. Entertainment includes Grammy winning Switchfoot, Peter Furler and more. IT blogger Royce Hood will be speaking on behalf of Ave Maria School of Law along with Michael Acquilano and Father Michael Orsi. Topics of the talks will include pro-life legal issues and Catholic media for the new evangelization.

WICKLIFFE, OHIO –   Ave Maria School of Law will be represented at The Fest, this Sunday, August 5, in Wickliffe, Ohio.  2012 graduate Royce Hood  will speak along with Michael Acquilano (class of 2013 student and President of Lex Vitae), and Father Michael Orsi (Chaplain of AMSL).

Over 38,000 spectators are expected throughout the day.  Entertainment includes Grammy Award Winning Christian rock group “Switchfoot”, former lead singer of Newsboys “Peter Furler” and more.  The family festival will also include parish talks, exhibits, contests and more.

Royce Hood, Michael Acquilano and Father Orsi will be speaking on behalf of Ave Maria School of Law. Specifically Royce will discuss pro-life issues and utilizing new media as a tool for evangelization.

Royce Hood is the founder of Maria News, host of the Law of Life Summit and a board member for the March for Life Foundation. Hood will soon be joining Immaculata Law Firm, LLC based out of Chicago, Illinois where he will work as Director of Business Development. Immaculata Law Firm specializes in strategic financing solutions for Catholic organizations & Dioceses around the Country.

Michael Aquilano is entering his third year at Ave Maria School of Law. Michael is active in multiple charities and non-profits. Mike recently ran the Boston Marathon (by himself) to raise money to buy school supplies for children in need. Michael is the President of Lex Vitae (the pro-life student org at AMSL) and active with National Right to Life.

Father Michael Orsi is the Chaplain at Ave Maria School of Law. Father Orsi has been with AMSL since its founding in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Father Orsi is one of the most published faculty members at AMSL. His articles and op-eds have been published in some of the most prominent periodicals in the US, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and more.

The FEST is a one-day, FREE family festival for all ages held in WICKLIFFE, OHIO. Enjoy live, national Christian bands on stage, entertainment, games, BMX shows, kids’ areas, opportunities for inspiring prayer, tents with vendors from all over our area, giveaways, and your favorite festival foods. The FEST began in August of 2000, where just under 5,000 people attended. Now, twelve years later, the attendance has reached 35,000!
