The fight is joined that took so long to prepare
The Serpent will be routed from his usurped lair.
The King invades the land with banners unfurled
In the final breaching of a stubborn world
Vainly set against her righteous Lord.
See, He rides to battle with two-edged sword.
The moment ripe, He launches the attack,
And comes to take His rightful kingdom back.
His spear is flaming bright, His bow is bent,
Angelic hosts before Him as heralds are sent.
Angelic chords like organs shake the ground
And hills and mountains tremble with the sound.
A blazing star plucked from the depths of space
Humbly points the way to that small place
Where the King of Glory, Maker of the Deeps,
Becomes a small manchild and softly sleeps.

Your poem says it all… our D-day has come! For Christ came humbly to live and die to save us! Glory to God in the Highest! May we open our hearts to Him this Christmas, and respond to His gracious gift by giving of ourselves.
God bless,
Frances
P.S. Could I also have a copy of this poem (I have copied a few from your blog with your permission already)?
Your poem says it all…. our D-day has come, Christ is born for our salvation! Glory to God! The most incredible thing! Yet, so many still miss Him because they are looking for earthly glory and not God’s glorious plan. Thank you for giving a glimpse of His glory in your poem.
God bless,
Frances
